SAFER handles one USDOT number per search. An approved carrier list runs to hundreds of names. Paste the list here and you get back the records with a stale or missing MCS-150 date, and nothing else.

Why a broker looks at this

A stale date is a fact about a record, and that is the whole of what we are telling you. What makes it worth a look is the regulation itself: 49 CFR 390.19T says that a carrier's failure to file leads to deactivation of its USDOT Number. A number that goes inactive after you have already tendered a load is an expensive way to find out.

Nothing on this page says a carrier has done anything wrong, and nothing here puts any obligation on you. The record is older than the schedule its own number assigns. Usually one phone call to the carrier settles it.

FMCSA moved carrier registration to a new system called Motus on 19 May 2026, and MCS-150 filing stopped working for many carriers. On 24 June 2026 Overdrive reported that FMCSA had suspended deactivating USDOT numbers for carriers unable to complete their biennial updates since 1 June 2026.

Two things follow. A record that looks past due may belong to a carrier who tried to file and could not. And the deactivation the regulation describes is not currently being applied. Treat a stale date as a reason to ask the carrier, not as a conclusion about them.
