Why a broker looks at this

A stale date is a fact about a record, and that's the whole of what we are telling you. What makes it worth a look is the regulation itself: 49 CFR 390.19T describes deactivation for failure to file. FMCSA has temporarily suspended that step while Motus problems continue, so this page does not treat a stale date as a present finding that a carrier may not operate.

Nothing on this page says a carrier has done anything wrong, and nothing here puts any obligation on you. The record is older than the schedule its own number assigns. Usually one phone call to the carrier settles it.
